Creative Asian cuisine and atmosphere. Founded by Roy Yamaguchi in East Honolulu, this chain is located across the street from our hotel. The restaurant brings a Hawaiian theme and promotes an "aloha" style of service. The restaurant features open dining areas, an expansive lounge with a community table, a covered outdoor patio and an exhibition kitchen. Theme items on the menu come from the Pacific Rim- Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese and Thai saucees complement the dishes. Creations include: Hauula tomato, Maui onion and spinach salad; crispy Thai stuffed chicken with fruit chutney and macadamia-curry sauce; and miso-seared butterfish with Chinese five spice-butter sauce. Desserts include a sculptured chocolate, macadamia nut and praline mousse tower.
